Expert Talks - featuring TV's Miranda Krestovnikoff

Star of television's 'COAST', Miranda Krestovnikoff, will be at The Caravan & Motorhome Show at Manchester Central this month as one of the speakers in the 'Expert Talks' Theatre. Taking you on a whirlwind journey around our dynamic and varied coastline, taking in some of the highlights of the BBC2 BAFTA award winning series; including behind the scenes anecdotes and pictures.

For all of those who share her passion for adventure and the great outdoors, come and enjoy an exciting tour of some of the most breathtaking scenery from across the British Isles. From sandcastles to shipwrecks, surf to seaweed, Miranda will give you a unique insight into how "COAST" is made and filmed and share with you the secrets behind its success.

Miranda will be giving her special presentation on the opening day of the show, Thursday 21st January, at 12pm.

Gulliver’s KidZone – New this year!

Kids entertainment experts Gulliver’s (of Gulliver’s Kingdom) have teamed up with The Camping and Caravanning Club to create the all new KidZone. There’s face-painting, balloon-modelling, a fun kids mini-gym, and special appearances and performances from kids favourite characters Gully and friends. It’s sure to keep your little ones amused and entertained with some well-deserved fun-time, ensuring a great day out for all the family.

‘Recipes for the road’ Cookery Theatre

Have a sit down and relax in the Cookery Theatre and learn some ‘Recipes for the Road’ from our special guest chef. He’s going to be creating some great dishes that are simple yet delicious, that you can learn and then recreate on your bbq or in your caravan, motorhome, or holiday home. Just because you’re away from home, it doesn’t mean that your creativeness in the kitchen has to be limited. Come and be inspired and improve your menu for your 2010 adventures. Lots of the ingredients the chef will be using are found in our Famers’ Market, so after you’ve seen the show you can go and start getting some of the ingredients. We will have all the recipes after the show here on our website for you.

Go and have a look round some great, fresh local produce in our very own Farmers’ Market, with the best regional produce from a carefully selected group of the finest local producers. Local delicacies from the North are some of the best in the country, from fine regional cheeses and chutneys to delicious organic fruit and veg grown by dedicated local farmers. They make great treats for yourself, or are perfect as gifts for friends and family, and by buying here you are helping support the local community. Many of the tasty treats you will find in the Farmers’ Market are used by the chef in his ‘Recipes for the Road’ in the Cookery Theatre, so you can even learn some great recipes to use them in.
