Thanks to their pure expertise in all things awnings, Kampa have shared with us some top tips for faring for and maintaining your Kampa awning is key to many happy holidays and breaks away. So, the team here at Kampa have put our heads together and come up with some top tips to help you care for your inflatable Kampa caravan or motorhome awning.
- Storage: When packing away your awning after a trip away, air fully and ensure it’s fully dry before storing. Make sure you store your awning in a well ventilated, dry place. A wet/damp awning will develop mildew surprisingly quickly.
- Cleaning: Dirty awnings can be washed using clean water and a soft brush. Do not scrub and never use detergents. If this doesn’t do the job, we recommend Kampa Awning Cleaner – it’s specially formulated to clean without damaging the awning material.
- Zips: Never force a zip. Your awning should always be pegged with the zips closed to ensure they will close correctly and without force. A helpful tip, silicone spray can also be applied to the zips to aid with lubrication.
- Poles: Kampa AirPoles require no maintenance! With regards to steel & aluminium poles, they should always be packed away and stored dry. It’s important to remember if a pole spring breaks it’s easily replaceable, Kampa Rally and Ace awnings use Pole Spring Link Medium, but small and large sizes are available to suit a wide range of awnings too.
